Standing alongside Fen Farm Wind Park, is the Fen Farm Solar array, which consists of 5000 PV panels arranged on a 2Ha site, feeding into the gird via the original substation constructed as part of the initial wind farm scheme. This array adds a further 1MW capacity and the combined wind solar model which was developed for this site, with our civil engineering expertise enabling the integration of both forms of generation. Our expertise in this field has now been called upon by DNO’s across the South of England to provide civil engineering and infrastructure support for a program of new solar generation facilities that are being brought on line at an ever increasing rate, even at a time when financing through the FITS scheme is becoming less favourable.
