The Refurbishment and re-modelling of a Grade II Listed Residence, incorporating the construction of a two storey subterranean extension, set below the re-landscaped rear garden plus a sympathetic refurbishment of the existing building, undertaken in accordance with the RLBKC guidelines for works to Listed Buildings in the Borough. A “top-down” approach to the construction of the basement was used which allowed the new accommodation to compliment the original historic elements of the building, with the structure designed to ensure modern open spaces were provided within the new areas without altering the character of the original building.
